Strawberry Cake Recipe
Start by putting in a mixer 1/2 cup of brown sugar, few drops of rum essence, 1 cup of whipped cream, fruit jam and mix them together. When done put the first layer cream in a bowl.
Chop peaches (we used from a compote)
Next chop the fresh strawberries
Boil 1 cup of water and add 2 tbsp of brown sugar, few drops of rum essence and mix it with a spoon
Second layer cream
In the mixer add 1 cup of whipped cream, 1/3 cup of cacao powder, 2 tbsp of brown sugar, rum essence and let them mix. (You can repeat this process if you need more cream)
Preparing the cake
Soften the first layer of the cake with syrup (Let the cake absorb the syrup)
Now spread evenly the first layer cream on top of it and add the chopped peaches
Place the second layer of the cake, soften with syrup and add the second layer cream
Do the same for the third layer
Decorating the cake
Decorate it with strawberries, candy confetti and cover the sides with cream (make sure you have enough cream)
You can use ladyfingers and/or chocolate bars for decoration as we did in our recipe
Place a pot with water on a burner and put a bowl on top of it for the chocolate to melt
After the chocolate has melted, add food coloring (repeat this process by changing the food coloring if you want to have more colors on the cake)
You can use a decorating cone for fine details. Also if you have leftover strawberries or peaches you can use them for decoration.
