Moussaka Recipe
The Moussaka recipe is a famous potato-based dish, often including ground meat(or mushrooms if you are vegan), originated in the Balkans and the Middle East, although the most known is the Greek version. Our Moussaka recipe is best served with a chunky tomato, cucumber, parsley and crusty bread.
Boil the potatoes and carrots
Take the ground beef and put it in a large bowl
Dice the onions and the garlic then add them together in the ground beef bowl
Add salt and mix well
Now preheat a frying pan, add few drops of cooking oil
Place the beef mixture in the pan and stir so that it does not stick
After that add the paprika powder, cherry tomatoes and tomato sauce and stir well
Now add the fresh basil
Add chopped parsley and dill and keep stiring
Slice the carrots and the potatoes
Now add the slice patatoes to the bottom of a ceramic bowl
Then add half of the beef on top of the potatoes
Add the slices carrots and the rest of the beef mixture on top of them
Now slightly beat 2 eggs and pour in the beef bowl
Add some mozzarella and bake in the oven for 60 minutes at 175C/350F
When you prepare the dish add sour cream, sliced tomatoes and sprinkle some chopped chives
And you’re done. Bon appetite!
