Stuffed Onions with Bacon and Mozzarella
These stuffed onions with bacon and mozzarella are a real treat! A huge meatball stuffed inside the onion and then wrapped with a crispy bacon.
Stuffed onions with Bacon and Mozzarella
First cut the ends of the onions and then remove the middle part. (we’ll be using the core to mix with the minced meat)
Now cut the middle of the onions and add them together with the minced meat into a bowl.
Take the yellow bell pepper, cut it into pieces and add them to the bowl.
Next add salt, pepper and then mix the ingredients.
Now cut the green bell pepper in 3 slices. (going to use them for the base of the stuffed onions)
Add 1 slice of green pepper to the bottom of each onion.
Take a pan, add olive oil then put the meat mixture to fry while stirring.
Add chopped garlic and parsley.
After that use a spoon to fill half of onion with the mixture.
Add bacon to the sides and fill the rest.
On top of the filled onions add 1 slice of mozzarella.
Leave in the oven for 15 minutes at 350F/180C.
