A hot dog is a grilled or steamed sausage sandwich where the sausage is served in the slit of a partially sliced bun.
Our homemade Hot Dog Sausage recipe it’s easy to make and really delicious! We added a garnish of french fries in aromatic oil. It’s the perfect dish for your lunch party.
First, cut the sausage to the length of the bread baguette, then cut it in half.
For the filling
Now take a pickle and dice it and add it in a small bowl or a deep plate.
Next, take the onion, cut it in half. Take 1 half of the onion, dice it and add it to the bowl with the diced pickles.
After that, dice the cheddar and emmental cheese, then add them to the bowl.
Aromatic french fries
Cut the potatoes into strips so they can be fried later.
Now, in a small bowl add 2 tbsp of mustard and 1 tsp of honey, then mix them together.
In a grill pan, add the sausage cut in half. Cook it on both sides. When you’re done, take them out on a plate.
After that, pour the aromatic oil in a large frying pan, then add the potatoes.
Making the Hot Dog Sausage recipe
Take the bread baguette and partially slice them. Grease the inside with the mustard and honey mixture.
Take 1 grilled sausage and stick it inside, then add the cheese-pickles-onion filling. Do the same for the second baguette.
Next, bring an oven pan, add the Hot Dog Sausage recipe, then add the diced chilli.
Add more cheddar and emmental slices if you want a more cheesy hod dog.
Cook in the oven for 10 minutes at 356F / 180C.
At the end, add spicy mayo on the hot dogs. Bon appetite!
